We are seeking a highly skilled SQL and Python Data Engineer with 6 to 9 years of experience in database management and development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and supporting database objects, applying data warehousing concepts, and developing ELT processes to efficiently load data from source systems into staging and target tables. Strong proficiency in Python for handling API integrations and data analytics is also essential, along with the ability to integrate data from platforms like OneDrive, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support key database objects such as views, stored procedures, and indexes.
• Implement and manage data warehousing concepts to streamline data flow and storage.
• Develop efficient ELT processes to extract data from source tables, transform it, and load it into target fact and dimension tables.
• Utilize Python for handling REST API calls, integrating data, and performing data analytics to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Integrate external systems (such as OneDrive, Smartsheet, and SharePoint) by processing data via APIs for seamless data collection and reporting.
• Analyze and optimize data workflows and system performance to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Document all processes, ensuring clear communication and updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.

Qualifications:

• 6 to 9 years of experience with SQL (PLSQL, MS SQL, etc.) and database object design (views, stored procedures, indexes).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and the ability to design and develop ELT processes.
• Extensive experience with Python, especially in handling API calls and data analytics.
• Knowledge of integrating data from cloud-based platforms like OneDrive, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
• Solid verbal, written, and analytical skills to document processes and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing data workflows and system performance.
