Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including at least 3+ years of experience in test automation development or a combination of development and testing experience.
• Proficiency in Python (scripting/programming languages).
• Proven track record in programmatically testing software products, with hands-on experience in Selenium automation.
• Experience with JIRA or other defect tracking systems.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to write test plans, use cases, and test scripts that effectively uncover defects and assess software quality.

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience in data-related testing, particularly in the context of data quality assurance.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying databases and validating data-related tests.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, and testing data integrity.
• Experience with other automation frameworks or testing tools (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Postman).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Test Strategies: Define and implement test strategies and engineering best practices related to both manual and automated testing, with a particular focus on ensuring data quality.

• Create Robust Test Suites: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test suites, including test plans, use cases, and scripts, to uncover potential defects or shortcomings in the product.

• Generate and Maintain Test Data: Create and maintain appropriate test data sets and ensure test environments are properly configured and maintained to accurately reflect production conditions.

• Defect Reporting and Resolution: Report defects accurately and facilitate effective issue tracking until successful resolution.

• Quality Metrics: Establish quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of data pipelines, products, and overall customer deliverables.

• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to influence solution designs and ensure the systems being built are testable and of the highest quality.

• Research and Implement New Tools: Stay up to date with the latest technologies in quality assurance and research, evaluate, and apply new tools and approaches in the testing space.
