We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in building interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query, and the ability to deliver high-quality, actionable insights through business intelligence solutions. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to design and develop visually appealing and efficient data visualizations while ensuring the integration of various data sources to enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Power BI Development:

  • Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide insights into business operations.
  • Create and manage data models using Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX to support business intelligence needs.
  • Transform and shape raw data into usable formats for reporting, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and performance.

• Data Integration:

  • Integrate data from a variety of sources, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, and cloud platforms to create comprehensive reports.
  • Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data readiness and quality for reporting.
  • Manage data warehouses and design data pipelines to ensure a seamless flow of data from multiple sources.

• Reporting and Dashboards:

  • Develop visually appealing, user-friendly dashboards that communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant business metrics.
  • Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability, ensuring a smooth user experience even with large datasets.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business requirements and deliver tailored Power BI solutions.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with business users, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure reports meet business needs.
  • Provide support for users, including training and troubleshooting Power BI-related queries.
  • Present insights and findings in a clear and effective manner to non-technical stakeholders.

• Performance Tuning and Optimization:

  • Implement best practices for optimizing Power BI performance, including query optimization, data compression, and model optimization.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues in Power BI dashboards and reports and propose effective solutions to enhance speed and usability.

• Governance and Security:

  • Ensure data governance policies are followed, including managing user access, roles, and permissions within Power BI Service.
  • Work with security teams to implement and maintain data security and access controls for sensitive data.

• Continuous Improvement and Documentation:

  • Stay updated with new features and updates in Power BI and business intelligence trends.
  • Document reporting solutions, methodologies, and best practices for future reference and team collaboration.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development, including report building, data modeling, and dashboard design.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and building complex data models.
• Experience with SQL and database management, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, and other relational or cloud databases.
• Proven track record of delivering business intelligence solutions and interactive data visualizations for stakeholders across different business domains.
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, particularly Azure, and integrating data from cloud sources.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for data quality, accuracy, and performance.
• Experience in working with ETL processes and integrating multiple data sources for comprehensive reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Data Services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance regulations in BI reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
