We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP BW Developer with strong expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, data modeling, and ETL processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in developing and optimizing SAP BW solutions, including extensive hands-on experience with SAP BW on HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and integration with various SAP and non-SAP data sources. As a member of our data team, you will be responsible for designing data models, optimizing ETL processes, and supporting reporting and analytics using SAP BW tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP BW Development & Modeling:

  • Design, develop, and implement SAP BW data models including InfoProviders, InfoObjects, DataStore Objects (DSOs), and CompositeProviders to meet business reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for seamless data flow from SAP and non-SAP source systems into SAP BW.

• Data Extraction & Integration:

  • Optimize data extraction processes from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other external sources, ensuring accurate and efficient data load and integration.
  • Work on integrating SAP BW with SAP HANA, SAP Data Services, and other ETL tools to ensure streamlined data transformation and flow.

• Query Design & Reporting:

  • Create complex queries in BEx Query Designer to enable advanced reporting and analytics.
  • Design and develop BW reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to provide actionable insights for business users, leveraging SAP BW reporting tools such as Analysis for Office and BEx Analyzer.

• Performance Tuning & Optimization:

  • Conduct performance tuning for data loading processes and query execution to enhance overall system performance and reduce response time.
  • Optimize data models and ETL processes to maximize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth and fast data retrieval experience.

• Reporting & Analytics:

  • Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting needs, translating those into actionable technical requirements and report designs.
  • Use SAP BW/4HANA and other SAP reporting tools to deliver high-quality, user-friendly reports and dashboards.

• Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide ongoing support for SAP BW, addressing and troubleshooting data load failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all reporting outputs, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in data loads or reporting errors.

• Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Work closely with technical and business teams to ensure data models and reporting solutions meet business requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of BW models, data extraction processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications:

• Technical Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BW development, including SAP BW on HANA or SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Proficiency in SAP BW tools such as InfoObjects, InfoCubes, DataStore Objects (DSOs), CompositeProviders, and Open ODS Views.
  • Strong experience with BEx Query Designer, Analysis for Office, and SAP ECC/S4HANA data sources.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with SAP Data Services, SAP HANA Studio, and ABAP coding is a plus.

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP BW/4HANA certification or SAP HANA certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP Lumira is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori or SAP UI5 for report visualization is an advantage.
