Job Description Overview
  • Skill: ODIWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Developer with extensive knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing data warehouse solutions, including the creation of complex functions, stored procedures, and data transformation workflows. As a key member of the data engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the architecture that supports large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes, ensuring high-quality data integration and governance. Key Responsibilities: Data Warehouse Design & Documentation: Design, implement, and maintain Data Warehouse tables, including both fact and dimension tables. Provide comprehensive documentation for data structures and processes. Table Creation & Scripting: Develop and execute table creation scripts for databases, working closely with the Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure proper implementation. Data Analysis & Relationship Mapping: Analyze data sources to identify relationships and determine how they align with business requirements outlined in the Business Requirements Document (BRD). ETL & ELT Process Design: Design and develop Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) processes using ODI, ensuring data flows efficiently from source tables into staging areas, and then into target fact and dimension tables. Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Utilize SQL and other analytical techniques to validate the data loaded into the tables, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with data quality standards. Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues, investigate root causes, and determine effective solutions. Perform regular checks on data quality and governance. Data Governance & Profiling: Implement and monitor data governance practices, utilizing query and data profiling techniques to ensure high standards of data integrity, security, and compliance. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation for all processes, procedures, and data structures. Provide regular status reports to management and stakeholders. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in data warehouse development, with a strong focus on Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data modeling. Proficient in SQL for querying, data analysis, and validation. Strong knowledge of data governance practices, including data quality, profiling, and compliance standards. Experience with data warehousing concepts, including designing and implementing fact and dimension tables. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:
