We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Purview Specialist with expertise in data governance, compliance, and security. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage Microsoft Purview solutions to meet business needs and ensure data security, compliance, and governance. You will collaborate with various teams to create strategies for data classification, labeling, retention, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience in data governance tools, especially Microsoft Purview, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft Purview Solutions:

• Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of the organization.
• Develop and implement data governance strategies, including data classification, labeling, and retention policies.
• Leverage Microsoft Purview tools such as Data Catalog, Data Estate Insights, and eDiscovery to enhance data visibility and compliance across the organization.

Data Security:

• Implement and monitor Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, Information Barriers, and risk management strategies within Microsoft Purview.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations through effective data security and risk management practices.

Data Governance:

• Utilize Microsoft Purview tools to manage and enforce data governance practices effectively.
• Work with business stakeholders to ensure that data governance practices align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, compliance officers, and legal teams to drive successful data governance initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Microsoft Purview, explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensuring the understanding and adoption of data governance practices across the organization.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Purview components, including Data Catalog, Data Estate Insights, and eDiscovery.
• Strong knowledge of compliance tools such as Compliance Manager.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles, data classification, labeling, and retention strategies.
• Familiarity with data loss prevention (DLP), information barriers, and risk management practices.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to implement data governance strategies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations and industry standards such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.
• Previous experience with data security, privacy, and risk management tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in enterprise-level data governance implementations.
• Certifications in Microsoft Purview, Azure, or other data governance/security certifications.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services, Microsoft Compliance Center, and other Microsoft security solutions.
